I want to coach an AA team, what do I do?
Q: I Coach a Challenger team and we are going to switch to AA, what do I do?
A:
1. Make sure you commit to your players and parents what your plan is.
2. Get a commitment from your players.
3. Complete our Coach Registration for Tryouts document.
DO THIS EVEN IF YOUR ARE NOT GOING TO TRYOUTS SO THAT WE HAVE YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION.
4. Remind your players NOT to go to the draft.
5. You may need more players. See below for how to find them
U9/U10 boys & girls play 7v7 (roster about 9 to 12)
U11/U12 boys & girls play 9v9 (roster about 12 to 15)
NOTE: U9 girls play 7v7(roster about 9 or 10) sometimes there is not enough u9's and then we combine with U10 but usually they are separate.
U13 and up play 11v11 (roster between 14 to 18)
There are several different ways you can get additional players:
-Talk to the players on your team and ask if they know friends or players at school.
-Attend some challenger games, and talk to the parents of players you think would work well on your team.
-Register, and attend tryouts in mid May (more info here).
Have your team set up by the end of May (more info here). You will get all the current information on how to register your team and what is needed to register your team. Each player will need to upload a headshot when they register and they must submit a birth certificate/passport to the League Registrar to be uploaded into their profile.
