AA Coach Tryout Information
This page is for coaches participating in AA tryouts. Please review all information before tryouts begin.
Before Tryouts
- Complete the Coach / Team Setup Form before tryouts.
- Confirm whether you already have a full team or need additional players.
- If your team is already formed, your players should not attend open tryouts.
- If you need players, plan to attend tryouts and participate in the draft process.
- REPEAT...Players already on your team should NOT attend tryouts
Tryout Process
1. Player Check-In
Players check in and receive a pinnie.
2. Evaluation
Players rotate through drills and games.
3. Observation
Coaches evaluate players.
4. Draft
Teams are formed after tryouts.
Coach Expectations
- Remain professional.
- Do not approach players during tryouts.
- Do not promise roster spots.
- Follow staff instructions.
What NOT to Do
- Do NOT promise roster spots early.
- Do NOT recruit at tryouts.
- Do NOT skip tryouts unless committed.
- Do NOT run your own drills.
- Do NOT finalize decisions before draft.
If You Already Have a Team
- Submit your team info.
- Communicate with parents.
If You Need Players
- Attend tryouts.
- Participate in draft.
