AA Coach Tryout Information

This page is for coaches participating in AA tryouts. Please review all information before tryouts begin.

Before Tryouts

• Complete the Coach / Team Setup Form before tryouts.
• Confirm whether you already have a full team or need additional players.
• If your team is already formed, your players should not attend open tryouts.
• If you need players, plan to attend tryouts and participate in the draft process.
• REPEAT...Players already on your team should NOT attend tryouts

1. Player Check-In

Players check in and receive a pinnie.

2. Evaluation

Players rotate through drills and games.

3. Observation

Coaches evaluate players.

4. Draft

Teams are formed after tryouts.

Coach Expectations

• Remain professional.
• Do not approach players during tryouts.
• Do not promise roster spots.
• Follow staff instructions.

What NOT to Do

• Do NOT promise roster spots early.
• Do NOT recruit at tryouts.
• Do NOT skip tryouts unless committed.
• Do NOT run your own drills.
• Do NOT finalize decisions before draft.

If You Already Have a Team

• Submit your team info.
• Communicate with parents.

If You Need Players

• Attend tryouts.
• Participate in draft.
