Practice Plans

How

Some key points when conducting a practice:
NO LINES
- Try to avoid lines. A player in line learns nothing. If an excersize has lines try to have it running on two placeds on the field to get lines shorter.
NO LAPS
- Yes your jr. high football coach was like mine and made us run laps. Give the players excercises or drill where they are running AND playing soccer.
NO LECTURES
- Give guidance, but let the game be the teacher. Give kids the oportunity to make decisions and find solutions. When you make comments make them short and sweet.

Great Ideas for U4, U6, U8, U10 and U12

Remember, often the same lesson can be taught to a U4 teams or the US National team. It just depends on the complexity level added by the coach.
