April 25, 2020
NUCS kept preparing for Spring soccer right up until late April, hoping against hope to provide a Spring season, but circumstances beyond our control worked against us. We had everything ready. Lines painted, fields rented, everything in place and expenses paid for a season that could not happen because of issues out of our control
Most of the registration fees we receive for Fall and Spring are spent by the time the Fall season ends. Expenses continue from that point through the start of Spring soccer, for the maintenance of fields and equipment and the purchase of field paint for Spring (which does not have a long shelf life). The result is that by the time Spring seasons starts, we are not left with a large fund of registration fees from which to issue refunds. Because our fees are so low, there is very little wiggle room when a catastrophic, unexpected situation arrives like we are in now. Because of what we have learned, we have made arrangements with our parent association and suppliers, to delay shipments and thus payment in the fall, so that we can guarantee a refund if the fall and spring don't happen in the coming season.
For these reasons, rather than issuing a refund, we are automatically applying a $10 credit when you register for the Fall 2020 / Spring 2021 season. Early-bird registration opened on Monday, April 27th and continues through Sunday, May 31st. Early-bird pricing is $85 (rather than the full price of $95); the automatic $10 credit has reduced this price to $75.
We appreciate your understanding and your support of North Utah County Soccer and hope you can please understand that we have done everything possible we can, to help those in with financial strain, yet stay in business to allow an affordable option for your children in the future.
