Game Reschedule Instructions
Please follow the correct process any time a game needs to be rescheduled so fields are confirmed, referees are assigned, and unnecessary fees are avoided.
- State HOME games
- State AWAY games
- AA HOME games
State HOME Game Reschedules
These instructions apply if you want the reschedule or if the visiting team wants the reschedule.
If the visiting team requests the reschedule, our club must still approve the field, date, and time first. Once approved, send that information to the visiting team so they can initiate the reschedule in Affinity. This helps prevent the reschedule from counting against your team’s limit.
Quick Summary
- Fill out the Club Reschedule Form
- Wait for a reply with the approved field, date, and time
- Log into UYSA Affinity and complete the official reschedule
- Forward the confirmation email to David Josse and Torri Phillips
- NOTE: If these processes are not followed you may and up with no referee and also need to pay fees to have referees if they already showed up to a game that didn't exist.
Step 1: Contact the Other Team
Reach out to the opposing coach and get at least 3 possible date/time options.
To find contact information in Affinity:
- Log into your UYSA Affinity account
- Make sure your picture/profile is highlighted
- Click TEAMS
- Click Tournament and Schedule Apps
- Click Schedules/Game Scoring next to the correct team
- Click the opposing team name to see contact information
Important: Email all listed contacts from your personal email. Do not use the reschedule button yet.
Step 2: Submit the Club Reschedule Form
This step is required so we can:
- verify field availability
- avoid conflicts with other events
- assign referees properly
Even if a field looks open, it may still be unavailable due to lacrosse, school events, or other scheduled use.
Step 3: Wait for Approval
Wait for a confirmation email from [email protected] with the approved field, date, and time.
Step 4: Complete the Official Affinity Reschedule
After the field/date/time are approved, log into Affinity and go to your team schedule. The team initiating the reschedule should click the Reschedule button.
If the visiting team requested the change, send them the approved field/date/time so they can initiate the reschedule.
Step 5: Forward the Confirmation Email
Once the reschedule is accepted in Affinity, you will receive a confirmation email.
You must forward that confirmation email to:
David Josse ([email protected])
Torri Phillips ([email protected])
If for some reason you do not receive a confirmation you still must send the info to David and Torri:If you do not do this, referees may not be assigned. Referees may still show up at the original game, may still need to be paid, and you may also need to pay referees again for the rescheduled game.
Important State Notes
- The state allows only 2 reschedules per team per season
- Additional reschedules after the season starts may include fees
- The state charges a $50 reschedule fee
State AWAY Game Reschedules
If you are the away team, the home team must approve the field, date, time, and referees before the game is officially rescheduled.
Process
- Contact the opposing team by email
- Agree on several possible dates and times
- The home team must confirm:
- field availability
- referee availability
- Do not use the reschedule button until the home team has approval
- Once approved, the initiating team may submit the change through Affinity
- The other team then accepts the request
Final Reminders
- Do not use the Affinity reschedule button first
- Always contact the other team first
- Always get field approval first for home games
- Always submit the Club Reschedule Form
- Always forward the final confirmation email to David Josse and Torri Phillips
Following these steps helps make sure the field is reserved, referees are assigned, everyone shows up at the correct place and time, and unnecessary fees are avoided.

- If the visiting team wants the reschedule, please submit the form on your side so you can confirm the correct field, date, and time.
